That was very interesting. I mean I think there’s obviously a lot of change going on in the way that people think about the United Kingdom. But I think what is clear is that although many people now think about themselves as primarily English or primarily Scottish, rather than primarily British, it’s never the less true that many people, I think most people, by far the most people, still think that being British is an important part of our political identity and I hope that that will continue and I think its very important for politicians to do all they can to encourage that.
